May 15, 2015
Four liberal-arts colleges, members of edX –Colgate University, Davidson College, Hamilton College and Wellesley College– formed this week a consortium to share research and data about their online and hybrid education experiences, as well as to improve their online-teaching projects and resources.
The group, which signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on May 11th, is open to other institutions event if they aren’t part of edX.
Another consortium of liberal arts colleges is LACOL. It has been working together for a year on blended and online ideas. These colleges are Amherst, Carleton, Claremont McKenna, Haverford, Pomona, Swarthmore, Vassar, and Williams College. None of them are members of edX.
